Iron properties and characteristics
WebIron is a chemical element with symbol Fe (from Latin: ferrum) and atomic number 26. It is a metal that belongs to the first transition series and group 8 of the periodic table. It is, by mass, the most common element on Earth, just ahead of oxygen (32.1% and 30.1%, respectively), forming much of Earth's outer and inner core. WebIt had studied the effect of the using of aluminium residues (AR) and iron residues (IR) especially on the mechanical characteristics of concrete. These mechanical characteristics were the compression strength (CS) and tensile strength (TS). The achieved results were compared between the residues concrete specimens and those of reference concrete.
